"We will travel Israel one day" I told to my classmate after our Israel history class dismiss. One of my classmate just back from Israel and some of my classmates will be travel there soon. My classmate (almost same age with me) and me so jealous that some of my others classmate can travel Israel (of course they are much more elder and richer than us). We are just too young and poor man! But travel Israel already part of my dream and my target now. I will save as much money as fast as possible and also wish that one day I might stand on the land of Israel.
I just finish travelling two
new state at my class just now - Samaria and Jericho. Jericho is now an abandoned hill and was curse that no one can built any structure at this hill). Jericho attracted my attention because it was covered by two layer of retaining wall and the top of the retaining wall also used as accommodation. Furthermore, the story talk about Joshua and the Israelites march around the city of Jericho. Jericho was covered by two layer of retaining wall and it's hard to conquer this place. But the Lord said to Joshua to get this place not by weapon, not by fighting and only marching and blowing the trumpets. God method is always different than ours. It's just depend on our faith with God because nothing is imposible with God.
Joshua 6
New International Version (NIV)
Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in.
2 Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.3 March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. 4 Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. 5 When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.
